DEPARTMENT OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
COMMITTEE ADMIN OFFICER (P10) PERMANENT
REF NO: WSU INST 2026/34
 
Key Performance Areas:
  • Governance & Secretariat Support
  • Editorial & Linguistic Support
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Internal & External Liaison
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, & Reporting.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor of Laws (LLB); / (Honors) Degree in Linguistics, English Studies, or Applied Language Studies, Business Administration or any Management field.
  • A Masters in Linguistics or an LLM will be an added advantag
Experience:
  • At least three (3) years of experience in governance secretariat, or editorial support in a higher-education or public-sector environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting, proofreading, and editing governance, legal, or policy documents.
  • Strong Familiarity with formal writing conventions, grammar, and style guidelines.
  • A Valid Code 08 drivers’ license.
Skills and Competencies Required:
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Advanced editing, proofreading, and document-design skills.
  • Strong understanding of legal and governance language conventions.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic document-management systems.
  • Sound interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
